Data Entry Operator

We’re currently looking for a Data Entry Operator who will process daily donations with our accounting clerk. Job responsibilities include compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare data for computer entry and generate thank you letters to donors.

Job details:

  • Part time (3 days a week at 4-5 hours/day)
  • Essential data entry skills required
  • Fast typing with an eye for detail
  • Data entry accuracy required
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • Confidentiality both in office and outside of office required

Truck Driver

We’re also looking for a safe, courteous driver to make deliveries and pickups to the public. Other responsibilities include making weekly trash run to the dump and moving items from building to building on The Hope Center campus.

Job details:

  • Part time (20-28 hours/week)
  • Class A driver’s license in good standing
  • No serious tickets or accidents in the past 5 years
  • No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
  • Commercial driving experience required
  • Must be a person of integrity, trustworthy, have good character and pleasant personality
  • Maintain high standard of personal hygiene relative to appearance and clothing
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to lead and have good time management
  • Must be able to lift heavy items (furniture – couches, love seats, etc.)
  • Must be available to work some Saturdays

We are in urgent need of a qualified person to drive our donation pick-up truck.

Our donation trucks operate from Monday-Saturday. Saturdays would be morning hours only but Monday-Friday would include hours into the afternoon.

Our donation vehicles are small box trucks so a special license is not required but a good driving record is.

Drivers for our donation trucks will work approximately 25-28 hours a week. If you are interested in this position but cannot work everyday, we would be willing to hire two men to divide the week. You would also have one of our Hope Center Life Recovery program men as a helper.

Our donation trucks play a vital role in providing necessary income to help keep our facilities and programs to the community operational. This is an urgent need so if you are interested or know someone who is, please contact us immediately! Now Hiring – Food Services Manager

We are currently looking for a new food services manager. If you or someone you know are looking for a job, and an excellent way of serving the Lord, then keep reading.

The position of Food Services Manager is a part-time position which is about 25-30 hours per week. Usually no weekend work is required.

Experience in food service management is required. Food Services Manager will be working hands-on with some of the men in our residential program so this person must have supervisory skills and be able to lead, direct and motivate the program men assigned to kitchen duty. Also, we are looking for someone who is a good cook, innovative, and able to teach and supervise others how to cook.

Since we are a faith-based organization we ask that each applicant agree with our Statement of Faith (our code of beliefs) and be able to provide their testimony of their faith in Jesus as well as adhere to Christian conduct.

This job is perfect for retired cooks, chefs or kitchen staff. It’s also perfect for anyone who loves cooking and really wants to make a difference for Christ in the daily lives of people. It’s a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord by preparing meals for residents and daily guests. The Food Services Manager is able to build strong relationships with the residents who work in our kitchen. If you think that you would be perfect for this position, please read through the job purpose and responsibilities.

Purpose:  To oversee daily operations of kitchen including program residents and all volunteers assigned to kitchen duty.  The kitchen, dining area, freezers, refrigerators and food pantries are to be maintained in a Christ-honoring manner (clean and neatly organized) with diligence given to using all the food resources that God provides to the Mission without waste, spoilage or theft.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Set up weekly menus for all meals utilizing all available food resources
  • Supervise and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area
  • Keep detailed record of all food donations
  • Insure all Health Department requirements are met on a daily basis
  • Insure all food items are sorted, properly stored and quickly used or frozen to prevent loss.
