Thrift Store Christmas Village Now Open!

With Christmas just around the corner, our Thrift Stores are gearing up for the holiday season. And this year, our store in Hagerstown will have a special area dedicated to all things Christmas.

Thrift Store manager, AJ Imbach, is excited about the opening of Christmas Village at the Hagerstown store.

On Saturday, November 2nd, Christmas Village opened for our customers. Christmas Village features items like Christmas trees, ornaments, lights, wreaths, outdoor decorations, stockings, Santa hats & other themed items, Christmas clothing and so much more!

Budgets can be tight around the holidays so why not stop by and check out some of the great deals on Christmas items for your family and friends? You’ll find great items at incredibly reasonable prices and your purchases go towards funding all the various programs and ministries at The Hope Center. So you’re saving money and helping others at the same time!

Our Thrift Stores, in Hagerstown & Chambersburg, are always a great place to shop for items such as housewares, books, clothing, shoes, furniture and more. If you haven’t stopped by lately, what are you waiting for?

So be sure to come by and check out our brand new Christmas Village at the Hagerstown Thrift Store on the corner of Church & Walnut Streets. There’s plenty of parking in our central lot located off of Church Street. The Hagerstown Thrift Store is open Mon – Sat, 9am-5pm.

And if you’re looking for other great Christmas deals, don’t forget to swing by the Trinity Center, located next to the Hagerstown Thrift Store, on Saturday, November 9th for our annual Christmas Bazaar. The bazaar will be open from 9am-2pm. Our Ladies’ Auxiliary will have decorations, clothing, books, jewelry, collectibles and many other items for sale. There will also be a lunch stand with delicious foods and baked goods so come hungry!

Aux 2

In addition to being fundraisers, our Ladies’ Auxiliary also hosts special events throughout the year. Some of the events are for the public and some are specially geared for our residents.

The Ladies’ Auxiliary meets the first Monday of each month at 7pm in the Administrative Offices at The Hope Center. The last meetings for 2013 will be held on November 4th and December 2nd.

Also, on November 9th, our Ladies’ Auxiliary will host the annual Christmas Bazaar in the Trinity Center from 9am-2pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your friends to stop by, shop, eat and get to know some of the other ladies in our auxiliary.

Another Successful Christmas Bazaar

Each year our Ladies’ Auxiliary hosts a Christmas Bazaar in the Trinity Center. It was another successful year at our bazaar.

Eager shoppers filled the Trinity Center anxious to check out all the holiday goods and get some great deals! Our ladies sold such things as Christmas decorations, plates, sweaters, quilts, books, jewelry, toys, winter clothing and so much more.

In addition to all the wonderful holiday items for sale, our Ladies’ Auxiliary had a delicious lunch counter available with homemade soups, sandwiches and a wide variety of baked goods like pies, cakes and cookies.

We are so thankful for our Ladies’ Auxiliary that works so hard to raise much needed funding for various projects at The Hope Center. If you or someone you know are interested in learning more about our Auxiliary or would like to join, please call 301.739.1165 or email us at
