Who Wants Breakfast…for Dinner?

It’s a well-known fact that eating breakfast for dinner is something that everyone loves!

On Monday, May 7, Girl Scout troop #40600 came to The Hope Center and made breakfast for dinner for our residents and evening guests!

9 girls and 3 leaders participated in the evening dinner. The girls helped in the preparation of the food and serving of the meal. For their participation in this event, the girls received the silver award!

The delicious breakfast meal included scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, orange juice and coffee. With the guidance of some adult leaders, the girls successfully cooked this breakfast!

We’re glad that this fine group of young ladies stopped by to help feed the hungry. And we’re pretty sure that everyone enjoyed the meal!

This is not the first time this Girl Scout troop has served at The Hope Center. Past meals have included lasagna and soups & sandwiches.

The Girl Scouts, who meet at the Downsville Ruritan, are compiling a cookbook for The Hope Center with recipe ideas including meals they have prepared for The Hope Center.

We are so thankful that this great group of Girl Scouts has been so faithful in helping to feed the hungry in Hagerstown!
